Finally I decided to take some concrete action to boost my writing...and decided to hire Claire Robson to work with me. She did exactly what I neededshe was tenacious in reviewing my writing...giving me really specific helpful feedback and clear ways to practice specific elements. Claire is such a hoot to work with...laughing along the way really made it a pleasure. I'm a pretty tough critic, and I give Claire Robson five stars...
Art Shirk Director of Leading and Learning Program, Princeton University
Claire Robson's recent NHWP workshop, "Crafting a Compelling Scene," was praised by participants not only for its contenta discussion about the skillful use of specific detail, structure, line, mood, dialogue, and imagebut also for Claire's "clarity, humor, and generosity." As an instructor in the NHWP Manuscript Review Service, she has been a model for critiquing: specific, thorough, and encouraging. Her talent as a writer, her professionalism, and her way of interacting with other writers are all outstanding.
Martha Carlson-Bradley,
former Director of Publications, New Hampshire Writers' Project
Claire Robson has done a lot of work for the Plymouth Writing Project, the New Hampshire site of the National Writing Project, including readings, master classes and workshops for high school students, graduate students, classroom teachers and other writers. Claire is a remarkable presenter and has a gift as a teacher of writing. She is thoughtful, respectful and insightful, expresses a genuine interest in what students are writing and a willingness to serve as a mentor. The activities in which Claire engages workshop participants are specific and always based upon sound ideas. Of all of the workshops presented at our summer institute, Claire's was the teachers identified as most valuable for transfer to their own classrooms. I would recommend Claire Robson without reservation for any group interested in a dynamic writing workshop.

Claire Robson has taught for us in several capacities. She has led many workshops at our annual conference on writing for teachers, and has visited community centers, senior centers, libraries and schools as part of our outreach program. In all these capacities Claire has been engaging, inspirational and organized. The feedback we have received has been glowing in praise of her enthusiasm, charm and eloquenceand, most importantly, of her ability to understand and empathize with her audience. She has the capacity to convince people of all ages and levels of ability that they have both stories to tell and the ability to write them.
Frumie Selchen, Executive Director, Arts Alliance of Northern New Hampshire
Before I heard Claire Robson talk about her book, I always wondered what kind of person publishes her own memoirs. Now I know – one who's funny and confident. Robson reads from her quirky tale with a charm that cannot hide the wisdom she gained the hard way. Her voice will speak to women of every age, and to men of discernment. She's a great find!

As an events coordinator here at the Center, I've seen hundreds of author readings, including a bunch of ‘big names'. Claire Robson is definitely up with the best. She reads the crowd, chooses the right material, connects instantly, works the audience. Bottom line – she's a professional. Lots of authors have great material (Love in Good Time is a fabulous read!). Not all of them know how to sell to an audience.
